HS3

Versatility is the name of the game with the new HS3 automatic heat sealing machine. It is specifically designed to be compatible with most of our automated double clippers and provides the most adaptable form, fill and clipping system on the market. This clipper and heat seal combination offers many advantages including reduced packaging costs (as tubular material is replaced with roll stock film), long production runs between film reloads, less operator involvement and reduced inventory storage space.

Film is easily placed in the machine, fed through the forming collar, transported by the vacuum conveyor belt and continuously overlap sealed. Most types of mono or multi-layer films can be used including poly, mylar, nylon and aluminized, and it is capable of sealing film up to a 27-inch (686 mm) web width. Finished product diameters range from 1.75-inch (44.4 mm) small chubs to 8.27-inch (210 mm) large logs with a standard overlap seal. Production speed is based on the automatic clipper and pump used with the system.

Versatility is a key component of the HS3. Unique to this machine is its ability to run shirred casing product, which is accomplished by changing the fill tube. (This can be done in approximately ten minutes and allows processors more operating options). Furthermore, the HS3 automatic heat seal machine was designed with a state-of-the-art touch screen computer system that controls the entire machine. The film drive and seal band have been purposely offset and are electronically controlled to provide precise temperature and film speed for consistent sealing quality. Film tension is automatically monitored throughout the run to ensure even tension and pay off by means of servo drive technology. Film reloading and product set up time can be done by one operator in a minimal amount of time.

The HS3 is also encased in stainless steel and can be easily cleaned. Plexiglass doors permit the operator to observe film functions at any time. And, unlike other machines, all controls have been strategically placed inside the back of the machine for easy maintenance.
