TIPPER TIE TECHNOPACK employee among the top 900 finishers at the New York City Marathon

In only 2 hours 56 minutes, Dieter-Wilhelm Jendrysik, (age 46) reached the finish line last November at the world's most famous marathon in New York City. He reached an impressive place 808 of a total of more than 47,000 runners. It all started in 2002 at the Hamburg Marathon. "Once in a lifetime you have to run a marathon."  That is how a friend of Jendrysik's had convinced him to take part in the run. Today he looks back on more than 30 marathon runs worldwide – including popular races in Berlin, Amsterdam, Stockholm, London and Hong Kong, where he was among the top 100 finishers in February 2010. For Jendrysik, it is especially impressive to finish the marathon in a stadium in front of an excited audience. "This is pure adrenalin." A highlight in 2011 was Jendrysik's participation in the Jubilee Race "2,500 years of Marathon" at the ancient racing distance from Marathon to Athens/Greece. It is his dream to have run all five "World Marathon Majors" at least once in his lifetime - Berlin, Boston, Chicago, London and New York City. At the moment Jendrysik is preparing for the Hamburg Marathon in April and the Jubilee Marathon in Stockholm in July 2012.

We wish our colleague every success in his future racing activities!
