Our products are used everyday to process and package foods vital to the diets of people all over the world. It is hard to find a refrigerator case anywhere in the developed world that does not include foods processed or packaged with Tipper Tie, Tipper Tie Technopack or Tipper Tie Alpina clippers and clips. But, Tipper Tie doesn't just serve the meat and poultry industries, our products provide trusted closure solutions to companies such as pet food manufacturers, fish wholesalers, Christmas tree farmers, explosive makers, sandbag producers and much, much more!

A Short History
The name Tipper Tie requires some explanation. It is not a coined word referring to the clip on the "tip" of the package. It's the actual last name of the man credited with inventing the first market-successful clipper, Maynard Tipper. So, it just seemed natural to call it a Tipper Clipper.
Tipper Tie was founded in 1952 with the invention of the first successful, labor-saving, casing-tying machine. This machine applied metal caps and string-hanger loops to the end of flat, unfilled, artificial food casings, but it took several years for the machine to become commercially acceptable. During this period, time spent at the operating level of the meat packing plant uncovered the need for a machine to replace the difficult job of hand tying food-filled casings on the stuffing table.
The conditions inside the packing house, particularly on the stuffing table, required that a "second-tie" machine (for the other end of the package) be very rugged, yet safe to use. Furthermore, the clipped product had to survive the rigors of cooking and smoking cycles. In 1958, after many design changes, the Tipper Clipper was successfully launched. This single invention is the basis for the clipper and clip industry as we know it. And, today's superior clipper and clip technology still utilizes the design fundamentals of the original Tipper Clipper.
But, it's not just the Tipper Clipper that solved the "second-tie" problem. The Tipper Clip was equally important. This "U-shaped" aluminum wire clip does much more than just hold the casing, bag or sleeve closed during the processing cycle. The clip actually performs the final gathering of the package material. If, during the clip closing cycle, the clip legs do not collapse properly, cutting and mal-closure will occur, thereby undermining the integrity of the entire package. In fact, the clip is so vital to the integrity of the product that we manufacture our own wire to produce Tipper Clips. That way we can be sure that our wire is held to exacting specifications, not available from the general wire industry.

Fence—We also manufacture and distribute a full line of electric fence wire and fencing accessories. Our electric fence wire and supplies, including our brand leading Never-Rust Aluminum fence wire, can be purchased at most retail outlets.
Worldwide—We manufacture and service the highest quality manual, semi-automatic and automatic clipping machines, plus a full line of netting and string loops for clip hanging products of all sizes in the United States, Germany and Switzerland. In addition to our full line of clippers and clips designed for food products, we offer clippers for all sorts of industrial and general packaging applications including: explosives, chemicals, sealants, tropical fish, toys, liquids and a wide array of other uses.
